If a worker is on leave or temporarily removed from duties involving the use of Ohio SACWIS, you can suspend his or her access to the system. Once the worker returns, you can remove the suspension and restore the worker's access.
The worker's unit supervisor receives a high-priority email notification when a worker's access to the system is suspended. Both the worker and unit supervisor receive notifications when the worker's access has been restored.
Suspend a worker's access to the system as follows:
Click the Administration tab at the top of the screen.
Click the Security tab.
Click the Assign User Groups link in the menu on the left. The User Search screen appears.
Complete the Last Name fields.
Click Search. The active workers who meet the search criteria appear in the Search Results table.
Click the Edit link next to the worker whose record you want to update. The User Details screen appears. The groups to which the worker belongs appear in the User Groups area.
Select the check box next to Suspend Access.
Click on the check to remove it, thereby restoring the worker's access.
Click Save. You are returned to the User Search screen. The system sends a high-priority notification to the worker's supervisor informing him or her that the suspension was recorded.
