View Pre-Adoptive Staffing Details

An initial pre-adoptive staffing conference is a formal meeting scheduled soon after (within 45 days) the agency is granted permanent custody of a child. The conference includes workers on the child's original case, workers on the child's adoption case, and other invitees as needed, who plan the transfer of the case.

View the details of a pre-adoptive staffing conference as follows:

  1. From the Home screen, click the Case tab.

  2. Click the Workload tab. The Case Workload screen appears.

  3. Click the case ID Number link of the adoption case you want to view. The Case Overview screen appears.

  4. Click the Placement Decision/Staffing link in the navigation bar on the left. The system defaults to the Pre-Adoptive Staffing link. The Placement Decision Process screen appears. Pre-adoptive staffing details are recorded separately for each child in the case.

  5. Click the child name link. The screen displays a table that lists each pre-adoptive staffing record.

  6. Click the View link next to the record you want to view. The Pre-Adoptive Staffing Participants tab appears. This screen displays the workers who were invited to the pre-adoptive staffing meeting. A check appears in the Attended Staffing column if the worker attended the conference.

  7. Click the Adoptive Child Information tab. The Adoptive Child Information screen appears. This screen displays information about any special needs or siblings who are to be a part of the matching and adoptive placement.

  8. Click the Child Needs tab. The Child's Needs screen appears. This screen displays a summary of the child's needs and Multi-Ethnic Placement Act Considerations field.

  9. Click the Pre-Adoptive Staffing Summary tab. The Pre-Adoptive Staffing Summary screen appears. This screen displays summaries of the conference outcomes and the recruitment or permanency plan.

  10. Click the JFS0 1690 Distribution tab. The JFS0 1690 Distribution screen appears. This screen displays the names, roles, and agency affiliations of the workers who were sent a copy of the child's JFS 01690 report.

Once the Generate Notices check box has been selected, the system locks the pre-adoptive staffing record so that no further updates may be made to it. The system also sends a notification that the completed JFS01690 may be viewed online to all workers with valid email addresses in the Ohio SACWIS database.

  11. Click Cancel. You are returned to the Pre-Adoptive Staffing Participants tab; the Placement Decision Process screen.
