Change a Report Disposition

In some situations it is necessary to change the report disposition(s) recorded on an intake allegation(s), for example, if a case member filed a grievance against the agency. A report disposition may be changed only once. You can change it only on an allegation that is ”r;Substantiated," "Indicated," or Unsubstantiated." An icon appears on the Allegations Details screen for report dispositions that have been changed. (See About intake dispositions for more information.)

Change a report disposition as follows:

  1. From the Home screen, click the Case tab.

  2. Click the Workload tab. The Case Workload screen appears.

  3. Click the Case ID Number link for the case you want to view. The Case Overview screen appears.

  4. Click the Intake List link in the menu on the left. The Current Case Episode Intake List screen appears. It displays the intake records that are associated with this case.

  5. Click Change Disposition(s). The Intake Dispositions screen appears.

  6. Click the Edit link for the intake you want to view. The Allegation Details screen appears. It lists the alleged child victim(s) and alleged perpetrators, the disposition status, and a summary of harm.

  7. Click the Edit link for the allegation whose report disposition you want to update. The Disposition Details screen appears.

  8. Complete the fields on this screen, including the Harm Description field toward the center of the screen:

  9. Click Save if you want to keep the changes you made. Click Cancel. You are returned to the Allegation Details screen.

  10. Click Close. You are returned to the Current Case Episode Intake List screen.

The system recalculates the case disposition. If there is a change in the case disposition because of the change to the report disposition, the system displays the new case disposition on the Intakes List screen. However, the system does not apply the new case disposition on already saved pieces of work (for example, on a family assessment).

The report disposition date is the original report disposition date, Changing the disposition date does not change the date of the original report or case disposition.
