View a Specialized Assessment/Investigation

A specialized assessment/investigation (A/I) is completed when the alleged perpetrator has access to the alleged child victim by his or her affiliation or employment with the child's out-of-home care provider. This tool helps the worker capture the investigative requirements. See About assessment/investigations for more information.

To view a specialized A/I, complete the following steps:

  1. From the Home screen, click the Case tab.

  2. Click the Workload tab. The Case Workload screen appears.

  3. Click the Case ID number link of the case you want to view. The Case Overview screen appears.

  4. Click the Specialized A/I Tool link in the menu on the left. The Specialized A/I Tool screen appears.

  5. Click the Edit link for the specialized A/I you want to view. The Participant Information screen appears. This screen lists the intake records that are associated with this specialized A/I record. It also lists the child and adult case members who have been identified as participants in this specialized A/I.

  6. Click the Notifications tab. The Notification Requirements screen appears. It displays the dates on which the required notifications were sent and the individuals to whom they were sent.

  7. Click the Assessment of Safety tab. The Assessment of Safety screen appears. It displays a series of questions and an abbreviated response.

  8. Click the Edit link next to a question to view a complete narrative.

  9. Click the Save button to save your changes.

  10. Click the Findings and Summary tab. The Finding and Summary of Investigation screen appears. This screen displays a summary of the worker's findings.

  11. Click the Disposition link at the top of the screen. The Case Disposition screen appears. This screen lists the intake records that are associated with this specialized A/I and their disposition.

  12. To view the specific violations the worker identified, click the Edit link for an intake record.

  13. Click the Physical Abuse, Sexual Abuse or Neglect link (or all of them).

  14. Click the Save (or Cancel) button.

  15. Click the Post Investigation Notifications link at the top of the screen. The Post Investigative Notifications screen appears. This screen displays the dates the final, required notifications were sent.

  16. Click the Cancel button. You are returned to the Specialized A/I Tool screen.
