Authorize Case Services

Case services are recorded when workers identify the family's needs during the life of a case. Paid services, which are completed separately for each person in the case must be authorized. The service must be in "Provided" status before it can be authorized.

Authorize case services as follows:

  1. From the Home screen, click the Case tab.

  2. Click the Workload tab. The Case Workload screen appears.

  3. If you are a supervisor, open the case listing of the worker, then click the ID Number link of the case. If you are a worker, click the ID Number link of the case. The Case Overview screen appears.

  4. Click the Case Services link in the navigation bar on the left. The Case Services Filter Criteria screen appears. The case services that have been recorded for this case appear in the Case Services table in the bottom section of the screen.

  5. Click the next to the case to display additional details. The Status column indicates whether the service has been provided, referred, planned, needed, and so on.

  6. To limit the display of notes records, enter filter criteria, then click Filter.

    For example, you can display notes recorded within a certain date range, for a certain case member, or in a certain status.

  7. Click the Edit link. The Service Information screen appears. system displays an Authorization link for paid services with the status of "Provided." When you click this link to authorize services, the system displays the current service authorization record if one exists. If one does not exist, the system creates a "Pending" service authorization record with the most recent service begin date. When the linked service authorization record approved, the placement record is frozen. You can, however, modify begin date.

  8. Click Close. The Case Services Filter Criteria screen appears.
