This screen allows you to display the user groups defined for State or agency workers. User groups are assigned to workers. Through its association with one or more security profiles, the user group defines the functions that are granted when the user group is assigned to workers.
The Edit link allows you to view or update the user group. The Copy link allows you to create a new user group by copying and modifying an existing user group. An agency security administrator can copy a State-defined user group and modify it for its own use. However, the system prompts you to overwrite any existing agency-level user group with the same name. The Add User Group button allows you to create new user group not based on any existing user group.
Both State and agency security administrators can maintain user groups:
A State security administrator can create and maintain user groups for State and agency use. A user group designated as "State Exclusive" cannot be copied by an agency security administrator.
An agency security administrator can create and maintain user groups for the agency's own use.
An agency security administrator at a private agency can create and maintain user groups that contain the security profiles the private agency has rights to, in accordance with the agency's license.
