An incident in which a provider violates an ODJFS rule is recorded in Ohio SACWIS. If a rule violation has an effect on the provider's approval or certification, the rule violation record should be linked to the recommendation record. (See Record a recommendation for certification for instructions on creating the recommendation record.)
You can link a recommendation to a rule violation when at least one "Recommendation for Denial" or "Recommendation for Revocation" transaction has been recorded. For these transaction types, you must link at least one rule violation record to the recommendation. The same rule violation record cannot be linked to more than one recommendation record.
Link a recommendation to waiver or variance record as follows:
From the Home screen, click the Provider tab.
Click the Workload tab. The Workload screen appears.
Click the Select link for the provider whose recommendation you want to record. The Provider Overview screen appears.
Click the Approval/Certification link in the navigation bar on the left. The Maintain Approval/Certification Recommendation screen appears.
Click the Edit link for the recommendation record to which you want to link the waiver or variance record. The Maintain Transactions screen appears.
Click Administrative Rules. The Maintain Administrative Rules screen appears.
Click Link Rule Violation. The Maintain Rule Violation Incidents screen appears.
