The home study assessor may recommend a denial or revocation based on a provider's rule violation. In this case, as the reviewer, you evaluate the circumstances surrounding the rule violation and record your response.
You can take a few different actions. You can accept the assessor's recommendation and approve or disapprove the provider. You can reject the recommendation, then on the Decision tab still decide to revoke the license because of other rule violations. Or you can accept the rule violations but decide not to revoke the license.
Record the review of a request for denial or revocation as follows:
Click the Provider tab at the top of the screen. The Provider Workload screen appears.
Click the Select link next to the ID of the provider whose approval or certification record you want to view. The Provider Overview screen appears.
Click the Waiver/Variance link in the menu on the left. The Maintain Waiver/Variance Requests screen appears. A Review link appears next to a provider type record when a recommendation is ready for review.
Click the Review link next to the type. The Waiver/Variance Occurrence screen appears. The bottom of the screen displays the agency recommendation and comments. The top of the screen includes fields in which you record your response to the agency's recommendation.
Complete the fields in the ODJFS Response Information area. You must complete at least these fields:
Decision
Type
Accepted Effective Date
Rule Chapter
Rule Section
Click Save. You are returned to the Maintain Waiver/Variance Requests screen.
//SME: How does this screen related to the ODJFS response accessed from the certification/approval record (RM04?) Looks like the same function in two difference places.//
