Record Information About Adoptive Families Considered

During a matching conference, the participants consider the adoptive families who are potential matches for the child. Then you record the results if the conference and indicate whether the families will be considered for adoption.

Record information about adoptive families considered as follows:

  1. From the Home screen, click the Case tab.

  2. Click the Workload tab. The Case Workload screen appears.

  3. Click the case ID Number link for the adoption case you want to update. The Case Overview screen appears.

  4. Click the Placement Decision/Staffing link in the menu on the left. The system defaults to the Pre-Adoptive Staffing link. The Place Decision Process screen appears.

  5. Click the Matching Conference link. The Placement Decision Process screen appears. It displays any matching conference records that have been entered for this child.

  6. Click the Edit link for the matching conference in which the family was considered. The Match Conference Planning Information screen appears.

  7. Click the Families Considered tab. The Families Considered screen appears.

  8. Click the Edit link next to the family name to update the record, or click Add Family to add family information for this matching conference. The Family/Provider Details screen appears.

    If you opened an existing record, the family's name and address appears. Go to step 9.

  9. Click Provider Search, then locate and select the adoptive family.

  10. Complete the fields on this screen, to describe the pre-conference decision and the results of the matching conference.

  11. Click OK. You are returned to the Families Considered screen.

  12. Repeat steps 7 - 10 for each family considered in this matching conference.

  13. Click Save. You are returned to the Placement Decision Process screen.
