Process: Record a safety assessment
The assessment requires you to explain whether the caretaker, or other person with access to the child, has or may have abused or neglected the child. You describe how each of the child’s characteristics contribute to or decrease the likelihood of serious harm. You also identify the strengths and resources the family members have that can reduce, control, or prevent threats of serious harm and how these capabilities can be used to ensure child safety.
