Amend or Correct a Completed Case Activity Record

It is important that the system reflects an accurate case activity log. If you discover an error in a completed case activity record, or want to add information, you can add an amendment or correction to the completed narrative. You can edit the original narrative of an activity in "draft" status, however. (See Record casework activity details.)

Amend a completed case activity record as follows:

  1. From the Home screen, click the Case tab.

  2. Click the Workload tab. The Case Workload screen appears.

  3. Click the ID Number link of the case you want to update. The Case Overview screen appears.

  4. Click Activity Log in the navigation bar on the left. The Activity Log Filter Criteria list screen appears. The top portion of the screen allows you to define the criteria for displaying the list of activity log items that have been recorded on this case. The items are listed in the table below.

  5. Click the Amend link next to the date of the activity you want to update. If you do not see the item in the list, select filter criteria to limit the display, then click Filter. The Activity Details screen appears.

  6. In the Narrative Details field, click Insert Correction. The Correction Details screen appears.

  7. Enter the amendment to the narrative in the New Correction field.

  8. Click Save. You are returned to the Activity Details screen, where the correction you just added appears in the Narrative History.

  9. Click Close. You are returned to the Activity Log Filter Criteria list screen.
