Safety assessment details

This screen allows you to link and view linked intakes; add children and adults to the record; and document plans, or next steps to contact those adults and/or children in the family that were not contacted. The safety assessment reflects the caseworker's evaluation of the safety factors in the child's environment. (See About assessment/investigations.)

Once an intake has been linked to the assessment, the ID number link allows you to open the intake record. You do not have to link a safety assessment to an intake. Only one safety assessment may be in progress, pending approval, or completed at any time for a given intake. One case may have multiple safety assessments in various statuses, as long as each assessment is linked to a different intake record.

In the Section 1: Identifying Information area, you can add children, and adults to the safety assessment. Once added, you can click on their name link to open their person record. In the Adults in the Family table on the screen, the Relationships link opens a read only screen listing the children in the case and their relationships with the adult listed.

Each of the details linked, or added to the screen will display a delete link to remove that detail from the record. Once the safety assessment is approved the delete link is not available and the details can not be removed.
