Determine Reimbursability for IV-E FCM

The agency is generally reimbursed for payments made during a placement episode for a child who is deemed eligible and reimbursable for IV-E FCM. When the eligibility determination record is in "Complete" status, the system automatically creates a reimbursability record. It is displayed on the Eligibility/Reimbursability history screen in "Pending" status. You then complete the reimbursability record.

Complete the reimbursability determination record as follows:

1. Click the Financial tab at the top of the screen. The Services screen appears.

2. Click the Eligibility tab.

3. Click the Eligibility/Reimbursability link in the navigation bar left. The Child Selection screen appears

4. Click Person Search, then locate and select the child whose reimbursability you want to determine. After you select the child, the screen displays histories of the eligibility and reimbursability records.

OR

5. Enter the child's person ID and click Go.

6. Click the Edit link for the reimbursability record you want to complete. The Initial Reimbursability screen appears.

7. Click the Child's Need link in the Child's Need area. The Child's Need Worksheet for Title IV-E Reimbursability screen appears. It displays the Child's Income Summary.

8. If necessary, update the child's income information.

   1. Click the Update Income link. The child's Income History screen appears.

   2. Click the edit link to update an existing record, or click Add Income to create a new income record. The employment record details screen appears.

   3. Complete the fields on the screen. You must complete at least these fields to save the record:
      
      Effective Month/Year
      Wage/Amount
      Frequency

   4. Click Save. You are returned to the Child's Need Worksheet for Title IV-E Reimbursability screen.

9. Click Save. You are returned to the Initial Reimbursability screen.

10. Click Determine Reimbursability. The system processes the reimbursability rules, then displays the result.

11. Click Save to accept this determination. The system displays a dialog box asking you to confirm the action.

12. Click OK to save this determination and freeze the record from any further updates. Or click Cancel to stop the action and return the reimbursability status to "Pending." You can then make further verifications or adjustments to this reimbursability record, or you may want to delete this record by clicking the Delete link..
    
    When you save the reimbursability determination, the Eligibility/Reimbursability History screen displays the "Completed" in the Status column and the determination (Yes or No) in the IV_E Reimbursable column.
