Ohio SACWIS automatically creates a Medicaid record and transmits the information by way of an interface to the Medicaid Information Tracking System (MITS) and to the Client Registry System (CRIS). The system displays the child's MITS record for comparison.
View Medicaid, HMO, and MITS histories as follows:
Click the Financial tab at the top of the screen.
Click the Eligibility tab.
Click the Medicaid Eligibility link in the left navigation bar. The Child Selection search screen appears.
Click Person Search, then locate and select the child whose Medicaid eligibility you want to view, or enter the child's person ID and click Go. The Medicaid Eligibility History table populates.
In the Stop Span History table; click the Add Stop Span button. The Stop IV-E Medicaid Eligibility Span Details screen appears.
Enter the Stop Span Effective Date. Enter Comments.
Click Save. You are returned to the Child Selection screen; the Stop Span History table is populated.
You can click the Restart Span button to restart the Medicaid span.
