Record a Screening Decision

 

Process: Record the intake decision and assignment

As the screening decision maker, you will review the intake to indicate if the intake is an emergency requiring an immediate response, select the screening decision, and if not returned to the screener, record the intake screening decision date/time.

After a screening decision has been saved, additional details may require a change to the intake category. When the category is changed, the intake types may need to be changed as well.  

Record a screening decision as follows:

  1. From the Intake Workload screen, click the Decision link for the intake on which you want to record a screening decision. The Decision Details screen appears.

  2. Choose Yes or No from the Is This an Emergency? field drop down box. If you select Yes, the system automatically sets the response time for initiation to 1 hour. If you select No, the system sets the response time to 24 hours.

  3. Select a screening decision:

Screened Out

Return to Screener

  1. Click Save. You are returned to the Intake Workload.

  2. Click Next Task below if you are ready to link the intake to a case.
