While a person profile may have more than one active address (of different types), only one may be the primary address. Whenever a person's primary address has been changed, the system sends an email notification to the workers assigned to the person's case record or provider record.
To correct a person's primary address, complete the following steps:
Display the person profile.
Click the Address tab. The Person Address screen appears. The selected radio button in the Primary column indicates the primary address. If the correct primary address is not displayed on this screen, go to the next step.
In the Primary column, click the radio button in the appropriate row. The selected address moves to the top of the list.
Or, click the View Address History link.
If the correct primary address appears on the Person Address History screen, click the Reactivate link. The system automatically end-dates the active address of the same type (for example, "Residence" or "Work 1") and displays the reactivated address on the Person Address screen.
Select the radio button in the Primary column if it is not already selected.
Click the Save button to return to the Person Search Criteria screen.
Or, if the correct primary address does not appear in the history, click Close and follow the next steps.
Click the Add Address button. The Domestic Address Details screen appears.
Enter the address in the search criteria fields. You must complete the Address Type and Effective Date fields as part of your criteria.
Click the Search button.
If the correct primary address appears in the search results: Click the Select link. You are returned to the Person Address screen and the new address appears in the list. Any previous address of the same type is automatically end-dated and moved to the address history. Select the radio button in the Primary column if it is not already selected. Click the Save button.
If the correct primary address does not appear in the search results: Click the Add New Address button. The Domestic Address Details screen appears. Complete the fields on this screen. Click the Save button. You are returned to the Person Address screen and the new address appears in the list. Any previous address of the same type is automatically end-dated and moved to the address history. Select the radio button in the Primary column if it is not already selected. Click the Save button.
