View Family Descriptions and Narratives

Family descriptions include a series of narratives that describe the applicants, members of the household, and the family's strengths, needs, supports systems, and so on. You can view family descriptions from the Provider Overview screen (as described below) or from the home study record (see View a home study).

View family description narratives as follows:

  1. From the Home screen, click the Provider tab.

  2. Click the Workload tab. The Workload screen appears.

  3. Click the Select link for the provider whose home study you want to view. The Provider Overview screen appears.

  4. Click the Description of Family link in the navigation bar on the left. The Maintain Description of Family screen appears.

  5. Click the View link on the link of the family description you want to view. The Description of Family Details Information screen appears. It lists three links that lead you to specific narratives.

  6. Click Applicant Narratives. The Maintain Applicant Narratives screen appears. It lists a series of topics with abbreviated narratives.

    Click the View link to view the complete narrative, click Close to return to the narrative summary screen, then click Close to return to the Description of Family Basic Information.

  7. Click Member Narratives. The Maintain Member Narratives screen appears. It displays abbreviated summaries of the children and non-applicant adults in the home.

    Click the View link to view the complete narrative, click Close to return to the narrative summary screen, then click Close to return to the Description of Family Basic Information.

  8. Click Family Narratives. The Maintain Family Narratives screen appears. It lists a series of topics along with abbreviated narratives.

    Click the View link to view the complete narrative, click Close to return to the narrative summary screen, then click Close to return to the Maintain Description of Family screen.

  9. Click Close to return to the Provider Overview screen.
