Record a Home Study

Through the home study process, a provider completes the necessary tasks (reflected in the steps below) to become approved or certified by the agency. You can complete these tasks in any order, as circumstances allow, before the home study is validated and approved. (See About home studies for more information.)

A home study is required for each ODJFS provider type record. To expedite the completion of these home studies, you can complete one record, then copy it and modify it for each of the other provider types. Only one home study record in "Pending" status may exist per provider type at a given time.

You can complete basic provider information, activity log records for assessment visits, a home description, or a family description before creating the home study record. If you do, the system automatically includes those records in the home study.
