Record On-Call Worker Information

Each county maintains a list of the dates and times their workers are on-call. (There are no on-call workers at the State level.)

To record on-call worker information, complete the following steps:

  1. From the Home screen, click the Administration tab.

  2. Click the Staff tab.

  3. Click the On-Call Employee link in the light blue menu on the left. The On-Call Employee Search Criteria screen appears. The County field displays the county in which you work and the Agency Name field displays the agency where you work.

  4. Enter the date range during which workers are on-call in the Start Date and End Date fields.

  5. Click the Search button. The workers who are currently on-call during that time period appear in the search results section.

  6. To update a worker's on-call details, click the Edit link next to the worker's name. The On-Call Employee Details screen appears.

  7. Edit the fields, as needed.

  8. Click the Save button. The On-Call Employee Search Criteria screen appears.

  9. To add a new on-call worker, click the Add On-Call Employee button. The Employee Search Criteria screen appears.

  10. Enter search criteria to see if the on-call employee already exists within the system.

  11. If not, click the Add Employee button. The Person Search Criteria screen appears.

  12. Enter person search criteria to see if the on-call employee already exists within the system.

  13. Click the Search button. The workers who meet your criteria appear in the search results table.

  14. If the person does not exist within SACWIS, click the Create New Person button. Then, enter and save their information as a new record.

  15. If the person does exist within SACWIS, click the Select link next to the worker for whom you want to add on-call information.

  16. If you add a new employee from the On-Call Employee Details screen, you must navigate back to this link once you save the record to search for the newly added employee again.

  17. Once you select an employee to add as an on-call worker, you will complete the fields on this screen. You must complete at least these fields:

    Start Date
    Start Time
    Phone
    or Pager

  18. Click the Save button. You are returned to the On-Call Employee Search screen.
