Process: Record a specialized assessment/investigation
You record the findings of the A/I once you've made a decision concerning the case. You summarize investigative variables to support the case disposition and any placement decisions, if necessary. You also indicate your findings, record the case disposition, and record post-investigative notifications.
To record the findings of a specialized A/I, complete the following steps:
Click the Findings and Summary tab. The Findings and Summary of Investigation screen appears.
In the narrative field, enter a detailed summary of your findings, addressing the bullet points listed above the field.
Click the Disposition link at the top of the screen. The Case Disposition screen appears.
Record the investigation findings and disposition. You must record a disposition for each intake associated with this specialized A/I before you submit the specialized A/I for approval.
Identify the rule violations for each intake that is linked to this specialized A/I and whose disposition is "Substantiated" or "Indicated."
Click the Post-Investigation Notifications tab. The Post-Investigative Notifications screen appears. It lists all of the required notifications that must be sent to the parties of this specialized A/I. Your agency is required to provide written notifications to the representatives within three days of the case disposition.
Complete the fields on this screen, entering the dates the notifications were sent.
