This screen allows you to view or add a request for a subsidy to cover non-recurring adoption expenses. A subsidy for non-recurring expenses applies to the expenses an adoptive parent incurs during the adoption process. With this type of subsidy, the agency reimburses the family for approved expenses up to a maximum amount. The State, in turn, reimburses the agency. A payment may be made up to two years after the adoption is finalized.
The Special Needs Criteria link displays a screen on which you view or select the special needs factors that apply to this child. The Add Requested Services buttons displays a screen on which you identify the service and cost for which the family is requesting reimbursement. The Determine Eligibility button instructs the system to determine whether the child is eligible. When the system determines a child's eligibility, it checks to see that certain criteria are met.
