Intake Status

An intake is assigned a status, according to the determination made on the intake. This status appears on the Intake Workload screen, as well as in the header of intake-specific screens.

Status

Description

Pending

A new intake record has been created using the Save or Apply buttons from the footer area of an intake tab.

Complete

The screener has selected the Completed from the Intake Status drop down list located in the footer area of an intake tab and the record was saved. The intake status will display Complete and a Decision link will display in the farthest left hand column for the screening decision maker. The complete status does not mean that final approval is complete. The Intake ID/Screening Priority column will display the intake's priority and a countdown timer for the decision.

Research

The screener has selected Research from the Intake Status drop down list located in the footer area of an intake tab and the record was saved. This status indicates research is needed before marking the intake complete. The system displays the Intake ID/Screening Priority column priority and countdown timer for the decision.

Screened In

The screening decision maker has reviewed the intake and selected Screened In from the Screening Decision drop down list. For intakes types that require a mandatory traditional response, the system will populates the Screening Pathway field with Traditional Response, (TR). This option can not be changed if the report requires a mandatory TR pathway, such as in the case of alleged sexual abuse. If the intake does not require a TR pathway, but the screening decision maker still selected the screening pathway of TR, the screening decision maker then selected a Reason for not screening in AR from the drop down list of discretionary and mandatory reasons for the TR pathway selection. Once a screening decision is saved the screening priority and countdown timer no longer displays on the workload.

Screened In AR

The screening decision maker has reviewed the intake and selected Screened In from the Screening Decision drop down list and selected Alternative Response (AR) from the Screening Pathway drop down list. Once a screening decision is saved the screening priority and countdown time no longer displays on the workload.

Screened Out

The screening decision maker has reviewed the intake and selected Screened Out from the Screening Decision drop down list. The screening decision maker selects the reason for screening out the intake from the Reason for screening out drop down list of options. If the reason of Referred to another PCSA was selected, additional fields display requiring one of two options; to select from the drop down list to Specify Ohio PCSA intake was referred to or the other option of Or out of state PCSA which requires entry of that state's information.

Information and/or Referral

The intake category is Information and/or Referral. The screening decision maker selects Information and/or Referral as the screening decision. The only other screening decision option is to Return to Screener indicating further work is required.

Returned

The screening decision maker has selected the Screening Decision of Return to Screener. For this decision the screening decision maker added return remarks. Once saved, the intake returned to the screener for consideration.
