Activate or Deactivate Provider Service Credentials

When the system creates a service credential record for a provider, the default status is "Active" so that the provider is included in any provider searches. You can deactivate a service when the provider chooses not to offer the service. Although it may be deactivated, the service is still approved and may be reactivated at any time during the current certification period. (See View service credential information.)

In addition, you will need to activate a service when:

Activate or deactivate a service credential as follows:

  1. From the Home screen, click the Provider tab.

  2. Click the Workload tab. The Workload screen appears.

  3. Click the Select link next to the ID of the provider whose details you want to view. The Provider Overview screen appears.

  4. Click the Service Credentials link in the navigation bar on the left. The system defaults to the ODJFS Approved Services tab; the ODJFS Approved Services Filter Criteria screen appears. It displays the services for which the provider has credentials.

  5. Stay on the ODJFS Approved Services screen, or click the Other Services tab, depending on the type of service you want to activate or deactivate. If you select Other Services tab; the Other Services Filter Criteria screen appears.

  6. To limit the display to services within certain parameters, select the filter criteria, then click Filter. For example, if you want to view only active services, select Active in the Service Status field. The services that meet you filter criteria appear in the table below.

  7. Click the Deactivate or Activate link next to the service category. The ODJFS Approved Services Activation/Deactivation Details screen appears.

  8. In the Effective Date field, enter the date this status change took effect.

  9. Enter any additional information about this status change in the Comments field.

  10. Click Save. You are returned to the ODJFS Approved Services Filter Criteria screen or Other Services Filter Criteria screen.
