The amend link appears on the home study page if you selected Amended as the home study type when you created the new home study record. You record an amendment when the home study status is "Approved" and you want to update some of the details reported. When you record an amendment, you are essentially creating a new home study record based on the original home study record, then amending certain details. Record an amendment as follows:
From the Home screen, click the Provider tab.
Click the Workload tab. The Workload screen appears.
Click the Select link for the provider whose home study you want to view. The Provider Overview screen appears.
Click the Home Study link in the menu on the left. The Maintain Home Study History screen appears.
Click the Edit link for the home study record you want to amend. The Home Study Details screen appears. (It allows to select a different assessor if this is not the person logged on.)
Click Save. The Maintain Home Study Information screen appears.
Click the link for the item you want to update, then record the updated information. (See Record a home study.)
Back on the Maintain Home Study History screen, click the Amend/Update link. The Amendment/Update Information screen appears.
Select the check box(es) next to the type of information you updated in the home study. You can select more than one check box.
Enter an explanation for making the updates in the Comments field.
Click Save. You are returned to the Maintain Home Study History screen.
