Match a Provider Service with a Client

The provider match feature allows you to find providers who can meet needs of certain clients and to print a report of these providers. The provider match feature may be useful, for example, if you are looking for a foster home for a child who may have special needs.

The system matches only providers, including foster homes and adoptive families, who are properly credentialed and meet the following criteria:

Run a provider match report as follows. If you reach the Provider Match Search screen from a placement screen on the case record, begin at step 4.

  1. Select the Provider tab, then select the Directory tab. The Provider Profile Search Criteria screen appears.

  2. Click the Provider Match tab. The Provider Match Search Criteria screen appears.

  3. Complete the fields on this screen. You must complete at least these fields:

    Service Category
    Service Type


    If you reach this screen from a placement screen on the case record, the system automatically fills in these fields.

    The Additional Search Criteria links open additional fields you can use to narrow your search to certain provider and/or child characteristics.

  4. Click the Search button. The providers that meet your search criteria appear in the Provider Match Search Results table.

  5. To run a report of the search results, click the Generate Report button.

  6. To exit the screen, click the primary, or secondary tab you want to open.

  7. To navigate to recently accessed records, click the Recent button. If the record does not display in the short list, click the See More link.

  8. Click OK to navigate out of the Provider Match Search Criteria. The Recently Accessed screen appears.

  9. Scroll through the lists to locate the record.
