Record a Service Credential (Other Services)

Services offered by non-ODJFS providers are recorded as "other" services. Additionally, a home provider may be qualified to provide additional services not licensed through ODJFS (for example, tutoring or first aid classes; kinship provider). These are also recorded as "other" services. (See About provider information for the differences between ODJFS and non-ODJFS providers.)

ODJFS approved services credentials are created through the home study and certification processes. (See About home studies or View service credential information.) When a closed provider record, however, is being reopened, you can add services as "other" services.

Record these other types of services as follows:

  1. From the Home screen, click the Provider tab.

  2. Click the Workload tab. The Workload screen appears.

  3. Click the Select link next to the ID of the provider whose details you want to view. The Provider Overview screen appears.

  4. Click the Service Credentials link in the navigation bar on the left. The system defaults to the ODJFS Approved Services tab; the ODJFS Approved Services Filter Criteria screen appears. It displays the services for which the provider has credentials.

  5. Click the Other Services tab. The Other Services Filter Criteria screen appears.

  6. Click Add Other Service. The Other Services Details screen appears.

  7. Complete the fields on this screen.

If you are reopening an existing ODJFS provider record, select Placement in the Service Category field; select Active in the Service Status field. Complete the rest of the fields to describe the details of the service. The Effective Date field must reflect the date the child is being placed or an earlier date.

  8. Click Save. You are returned to the Other Services Filter Criteria screen.
