Validate a Home Study

When you validate a home study, the system checks the completion of home study tasks and lists the tasks that are still incomplete. You normally validate a home study when you record the disposition and prepare it for approval. (See About home studies or Record a home study.)

However, you can run the validation process at any time, as follows:

  1. From the Home screen, click the Provider tab.

  2. Click the Workload tab. The Workload screen appears.

  3. Click the Select link for the provider whose home study you want to view. The Provider Overview screen appears.

  4. Click the Home Study link in the navigation bar on the left. The Maintain Home Study History screen appears.

  5. Click the Edit link for the home study record you want to amend. The Home Study Details screen appears. (It allows to select a different assessor if this is not the person logged on.)

  6. Click Save. The Maintain Home Study Information screen appears.

  7. Click Validate for Approval. The systems determines which home study tasks or records are incomplete, then displays these records and the missing information on the Unresolved Tasks screen. This screen is empty if all tasks have been completed.

  8. Click Close to return to the Maintain Home Study Information screen.
