Record Adoptive Family Composition

Process: Record a pre-finalization assessment

The family composition portion of the pre-finalization assessment allows you to describe the adoptive parents' marital status, divorces, and citizenship. The applicant 1 and applicant 2 member information is brought over from the provider record.

NOTE:
Any changes you make to family members should also be made on the adoptive family's provider record. Changing this information on the pre-finalization assessment does not change it on the provider record.  (See Record basic provider information.)

Record family composition as follows:

1. From the Pre-Finalization Report Details screen, click the Maintain Adoptive Family Composition link. The Adoptive Family Member(s) Information screen appears. The table at the top of the screen displays the parents and children who are in the family. The system draws this information from the most recent home study on the provider record.

2. If this screen does not display all family members, add the family member(s).

   1. Click Add Family Member. The Adoptive Family Member Details screen appears.

   2. Click Person Search, then locate and select the person. The person's name and other details appear on the Adoptive Family Member Details screen.

   3. In the Relationship field, select this person's relationship in the family.

   4. Click OK.

3. Complete the fields on this screen to describe the parents' marital and citizenship information.

4. Click Save. You are returned to the Pre-Finalization Report Details screen.

5. Click Next Task below to continue.
