Record Placement Visitation Plan Details

Process: Record a Case Plan

Visitation plans are recorded when one or more children are currently in placement. (If this does not apply to your case plan, click Next Task below to continue.)

The first visitation plan is created outside of the case plan, then linked to the case plan. You can edit the visitation plan from within the case plan or add an additional visitation plan by using the copy feature. You can also create a visitation plan as a stand alone plan monitoring the interaction a child has with the biological family, case participants, and non-case participants recognized by the agency.

The visitation plan must be associated with this case plan for each child who is in an out-of-home placement setting.

Record the placement visitation details as follows:

  1. From the Case Plan Topics screen, click the Placement Visitation link. The Visitation(s) Details screen appears. It lists the visitation plans that are associated with this case plan.

  2. Click the Edit link for the plan you want to update, or click Link Visitation to associate a plan with this case plan. The Visitation Plans Filter Criteria screen appears.

  3. Click the select link for the visitation plan you want to link to this case plan or Create a New Visitation Plan.

  4. Once on the Visitation(s) Details screen, click Save. You are returned to the Case Plan Topics screen.

  5. Click Next Task below to continue.
