This screen allows you to view, add, or update the service records that are associated with individuals in this case. Case services include all activities the agency does to assist a child and his or her parents, guardian, custodian, caretaker, or substitute caregiver. Services are tracked from initial assessment or investigation activities to case closure.
The Edit link allows you to view or update a service record.
The system displays an Authorization link for paid services with the status of "Provided." When you click this link to authorize services, the system displays the current service authorization record if one exists. If one does not exist, the system creates a "Pending" service authorization record with the most recent service begin date. When the linked service authorization record approved, the placement record is frozen. You can, however, modify begin date.
The Service End Date link appears for records in "Provided" status. After that, no further edits may be made to the record (except for updates to its service group or service review records). The Delete link appears for service records in "Needed" and "Planned" status. You cannot delete a service that is attached to an approved piece of work (for example, a family assessment, case plan, case review, or ongoing assessment). A service review record can be edited or deleted within four days of the review date. Similarly, a service group record may be edited or deleted within four days of the effective date.
When you open this screen while linking services to another work item (for example, a case plan) the services are listed with check boxes. When you select a check box, the service is linked to the work item.
The Add Case Services button allows you to create a new service record for the individual selected in the field to the left of the button.
