This screen allows you to view, add, or update a family description. The table displays any current family descriptions for this home provider and indicates whether it is linked to a home study record.
A family description record may have one of two narrative types: "Initial" or "Review." There can be only one current (not end-dated) initial family description and only one current review family description per agency. You must record an initial family description and link it to a home study record before you can create a review family description.
The Add Family Description button allows you to create a new family description record. The Copy link allows you to create a new family description by copying an existing record. You can copy only the current family description of a narrative type. When you copy, the system transfers all of the information from the first record to the new record. You can then edit any of the fields.
The View link allows you to view the narratives in read-only mode. The Edit link opens the family description record. The delete link allows you to Delete a family description record not linked to a home study. You can edit or delete a family description record only in the following circumstances:
It is the most recently entered one of that narrative type (initial or review).
It is not linked to a home study.
You work in the same agency as the worker who created the record.
