Link a Rule Violation to a CA/N Incident

When a provider violates an agency or ODJFS rule, the violation is recorded in the system. (See Record a rule violation.) If the rule violation is associated with a reported CA/N incident involving any provider member, you can then link that rule violation record to the CA/N report. (See Record an intake or Record out-of-home care information.)

Link a rule violation and CA/N incident as follows:

  1. From the Home screen, click the Provider tab.

  2. Click the Workload tab. The Workload screen appears.

  3. Click the Select link for the provider whose record you want to view. The Provider Overview screen appears.

  4. Click the Rule Violations link in the navigation bar on the left. The Maintain Rule Violation Incidents screen appears. It lists each incident that has been recorded.

  5. Click the Edit link for the pending rule violation record you want to update. The system defaults to the Rules Violation tab; the Rule Violation Details screen appears.

  6. In the Maintain Linked CA/N Incidents field; click the Link CA/N Incidents button. The CA/N Reports screen appears.

  7. Select the check box next to the CA/N incident you want to link to the rule violation incident.

  8. Click OK. You are returned to the Rule Violation Details screen. The CA/N incident you just selected appears in the Maintain Linked CA/N Incidents table.

  9. Click Save. You are returned to the Maintain Rule Violation Incidents screen.
