Record a Home Description

Process: Record a home study

A home description summarizes the home's sleeping arrangements, the family's living conditions, the neighborhood, the nearby schools, and the family's access to transportation. While it's a required portion of a home study, you can record a home description outside of a home study (for example, for an ICPC provider).

Record a home description as follows:

  1. From the Home Study Information screen, click the Description of Home link, which displays the Description of Home Information screen. Click Copy, or click Add Description of Home button. The system defaults to the Home Info tab; the Maintain Home Information screen appears.
     

  2. Complete the Home Info tab.

  3. Complete the Living Conditions tab.

  4. Complete the Outdoor/Neighborhood tab.

  5. Complete the School Info tab.

  6. Complete the Transportation tab.

  7. Click Save. You are returned to the Home Study Information or Provider Overview screen.

  8. Click Next Task below to continue with the home study.
