Record an Ongoing Case Assessment/Investigation

You complete an ongoing assessment/investigation (A/I) when the agency receives a subsequent report with category of CA/N, family in need of services (type "Stranger Danger"), or dependency after the family assessment was completed on an open case.

This tool allows you to assess or re-assess risk, identify emerging danger, address child harm, and document investigative activities. The ongoing A/I tool is used to capture this information without having to complete a family assessment a second time.  See About assessment/investigations for more information.

An ongoing assessment is required for a CA/N report. For a family in need of services (Stranger Danger type) or dependency report, this assessment may be used at the discretion of the worker or supervisor.
