Add an ODJFS Provider

In Ohio SACWIS, an ODJFS provider is a foster or adoptive home provider. The provider record is initiated through the inquiry process. Once the provider record is created, additional information is collected through the home study. Once the provider has been approved or certified and the service credentials have been activated, the provider is included in the client match process, and children may be placed with the provider.

Add an ODJFS provider as follows:

  1. Record the provider inquiry.

  2. Complete or update the provider's basic information.

  3. Complete the home study. See Record a home study.

  4. Complete the provider service credentials. See Record a service credential (other services).

  5. Add the placement record for the child. See Record placement information.

  6. Initiate the approval or certification process. See Record a recommendation for certification or Approve a recommendation for certification.

  7. Set up a payment account for the provider. See Record payment account details.

  8. Activate the service credentials for the services the provider is authorized to provide. See Activate or deactivate provider service credentials.
